Discovery Channel-NFB Feature Documentary Pitch

The world can’t get enough documentaries.  Discovery Channel and the National Film Board are sponsoring a Documentary Pitch and have generously donated $15,000 in development funding to be awarded to the top pitch.

The three finalists will each have a total of ten minutes to present their projects to an assembly of Canadian and international commissioning editors at the Banff Television Festival.  Three minutes will be allowed for the pitch followed by seven minutes of questions from the panel of editors.  After all three finalists have been questioned in this “bear pit” session, the decision-makers will cast their ballots, the results will be tabulated and the winners declared.
