BANFF TELEVISION FESTIVAL 2001

REGISTRATION - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What clothing should I pack?

In June, the climate in Banff ranges from very warm to cool. You might need a t-shirt one day a long-sleeved shirt the next and a sweater or jacket at night. Daytime high temperatures can range between 17°C and 30°C (64°F and 86°F). Nights are short and days are long: over sixteen-and-a-half hours of daylight by the summer solstice, June 21.

What about recreational activities?

The BANFF 2001 Information Centre will be located in the Delegates Lounge. A variety of outdoor activities can be planned, including hiking, cycling, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, golfing, tennis and white water rafting. If you wish to pre-arrange an activity, contact Claude Lemieux at lemieux@banfftvfest.com, or visit the Information Centre during Festival week.

How do I arrange for a hospitality suite?

A limited number of hospitality suites will be available on the third floor of the Convention Centre. These rooms are rented on a weekly basis only. Move-in date is Saturday June 9; move-out date is Friday, June 15. Contact Nicole Ahola at (403) 678-9283, fax (403) 678-9269 or e-mail ahola@banfftvfest.com for more information and availability.

What about business services?

You will be able to obtain business services including faxing and photocopying at the Banff Springs Convention Centre and details will be sent to you after you register.

How will other Delegates find me at the Festival?

Every registered delegate receives a Delegate List which includes the names of all those regis-tered by May 21 as well as arrival and departure dates and hotel information where available. Delegates who register after May 21 are listed in daily editions of The Banff Bulletin, which is widely circulated during the Festival. In addition, all delegates will be assigned a personal mailbox in the Delegates Lounge. Mailboxes will be arranged alphabetically for all Delegates registered by May 21.

Should I bring my family?

Combining a week of business in Banff with a family holiday is a popular choice. There is a special registration ($300) for spouse, companion or an immediate family member available provided they are not an active member of the television industry. This pass includes one ticket to all social events (value $380). Please contact us for details. There's certainly plenty to see and do in the area.
