Jury President Micheline Lanctôt called La terre des âmes
errantes, winner of the Global Television Grand Prize and the
top award of $50,000 at the 22nd Banff Rockie Awards, "a compassionate
and compelling story of Cambodian peasants digging trenches to lay
an optical fibre cable."
