Awards night kicks off with a fantastic, futurist, but intimate
exhibition of the inspired work of David Rokeby and Jocelyn Robert
(and collaborators). These artists address the theme of the Millennium:
as humans invent technologies, will we lose our voice, our right
to free speech, our emotions?
The Gallery also welcomes you every afternoon for cocktails, art
and a chance to dialogue.

Bigger and better than ever, the 22nd annual race for the Rockies
will award more than $100,000 in special cash prizes from Global
Television, NHK Japan and Telefilm Canada. In addition to awards
in 14 program categories there are two Special Jury Awards, and
the Global Television Grand Prize for the best television program
of the competition. The show includes live presentations of the
prestigious Award of Excellence and the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy
Network Award to the international industry celebrities chosen for
these Banff honours.

8:30pm - Fairmont Banff Springs, Convention Centre
An elegant gathering of Rockie Award winners and well wishers,
featuring a sumptuous celebratory dinner menu, fine wines, and the
renowned hospitality of A&E.
NOTE: Buses will depart from the Fairmont Banff Springs, Convention
Centre starting at 4:30pm and will return to the Convention Centre
continuously from 8:00pm.
Dress: Black tie or business/cocktail
One ticket to each social event is included with Full
Week Festival Registration (value $570). If you have purchased
a Full Week Festival Registration, you may also purchase one additional
ticket to each social event at the advance price, subject to availability.
Refunds for purchased social tickets require notification in writing
by May 21, no refunds on-site. Your delegate badge and social ticket
will be required for access to the social events.
