BANFF TELEVISION FESTIVAL 2001

SOCIAL EVENTS - OVERVIEW

After a day of seminars, lunches, pitches and meetings, BANFF 2001 delegates can relax and continue to network at a variety of social events offered by the Festival.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings all feature cocktail receptions.

Canada's CBC/Radio-Canada hosts the kick-off Opening reception on Sunday.

Monday night is Awards night starting with a reception. The Banff Rockie Awards Show (sponsored by Alliance Atlantis Communications) follows. The evening concludes with a Gala Awards Dinner courtesy A&E Television Networks.

Tuesday evening's activities kick off with the Tribute Hour and champagne reception, followed by an International Dinner.

There's an early morning event Wednesday, which is Breakfast on Sulphur Mountain. In the evening delegates are invited to the Banff Worldwide Reception before they head out to dinner on their own.

Thursday night is when the famous and fun-packed Western BBQ takes place, sponsored this year by Gullane Entertainment. It's a night to unwind and let your hair down with a traditional BBQ menu, beverages and music.

Festival seminars conclude at Noon Friday. The wrap-up social event is an excursion to Lake Louise, one of the jewels of the Canadian Rockies, and a farewell reception.

One ticket to each of these social events is included in the Full Week Registration package. Tickets to individual social events may be purchased by registered delegates prior to and during the Festival. If you have purchased a Full Week Festival Registration, you may also purchase one additional ticket to each social event at the advance price (subject to availability).
