Original webcasts will be accepted within the current system of entry categories (e.g., Animation, Short Drama, Comedy, etc.).
Fees remain the same as last year - $250 for each entry, payable in U.S. or Canadian dollars - except for original content created for webcasting, with no prior or simultaneous appearance in another medium, for which the fee will be $100 per entry.

Your program is eligible for the program competition if:
It was made for television (or webcast) and had no theatrical release prior to its first transmission.
It falls within one of the following categories:
Animation Programs
Arts Documentaries
Children's Programs
Comedies
Continuing Series
History & Biography Programs
Information Programs
Made-for-TV-Movies
Mini-Series
Performance Programs
Popular Science & Natural History Programs
Short Dramas
Social & Political Documentaries
Sports Programs
It was (or will be) transmitted for the first time anywhere in the world during 2000 or 2001
OR
It is currently available for first transmission. (Transmission includes network or local telecast as well as transmission on cable, satellite and conventional delivery systems, and original webcasts.)
It is available in an English or French version and in an acceptable
technical format. (No digital formats and no Beta PAL, please.)

Entries for the 2001 program competition may be
submitted any time from November 1, 2000, until the
entry deadline February 19, 2001. The handling fee
for each entry is $250, payable in Canadian or U.S. funds.
However, for original webcasts - content created for webcasting,
with no prior or simultaneous appearance in another medium
- the fee will be $100 per entry. Nominees for the Banff
Rockie Awards will be announced at MIP-TV in April, 2001.
Awards will be announced on June 11, 2001.
