ELIGIBILITY
(a) Entries must have been made for television (or webcast) - films in theatrical release at any time prior to telecast are not eligible.
(b) The Festival celebrates excellence in the widest range of recently completed or recently transmitted programs and films. Entries must have been transmitted, for the first time anywhere in the world, during the 2000 or 2001 calendar year OR must be currently available for first transmission. Transmission includes network or local telecast as well as transmission on cable, satellite and conventional delivery systems, and original webcasts.)
(c) While the Festival accepts multiple submissions, participants are reminded that only a portion of the many programs entered in the Festival are chosen as nominees and presented to the Festival's International Jury.
(d) A program should be entered in one category only. The final decision of category placement will rest with the selection committee.
(e) To avoid duplication of identical entries, we ask that co-production partners confer to decide which organization will be the entrant.
Exceptions to conditions of eligibility may be made, but at the sole discretion of the Festival.
Entries in the competition must be in the English or French language, or must have English or French subtitles. English and French are on an absolutely equal footing with respect to the choosing of program nominees by the selection committee and their adjudication by our international jury. For marketing purposes, however, entrants may prefer to send English subtitled versions of programs produced in other languages. |
